Deborah F. Woods

Deborah Woods received an A.B. in astrophysics from Princeton University and a Ph.D. in astronomy from Harvard University. She serves as Technical Staff at MIT Lincoln Laboratory in the Applied Space Systems Group. Deborah works in optical system design and analysis on issues that range from characterization and calibration of the optical performance of the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite (TESS); to leading the alignment of the 3.5-m Space Surveillance Telescope (SST); to the advancement of the Lincoln Near-Earth Asteroid Research (LINEAR) program; to the development of wavefront sensor measurement techniques. During her undergraduate and graduate work she focused on optical instrumentation and on research in galaxy photometry and spectroscopy.
