David Stuart Baskin

David Stuart Baskin currently works in the Department of Neurosurgery, Houston Methodist Hospital. He is the director of the Peak Brain and Pituitary Tumor Treatment Center. There are 21 people working on projects in Autism and brain tumors. Brain tumor projects projects including novel therapies including nanosyringes and selective mitochondrial chemotherapy. The lab also studies ways to measure and alter MGMT methylation, targeting carbohydrate transporters in brain cancer, and the use of novel circulating magnetic fields to kill brain tumors. We have projects that use MR spectroscopy to study different tumors to develop bio markers as well as metabolic signatures for targeted therapy. We have medicinal chemists, Neuro-oncologists, and stem cell and metabolomic experts.
