His research interests include human-computer interaction, artificial intelligence, healthcare, social media, technology adoption, and virtual reality. He has 43 publications, including 24 journal papers. His publications have appeared in all top four information systems journals (i.e., MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of Management Information Systems, Journal of Association for Information Systems) as well as the interdisciplinary UTD journals such as Management Science and INFORMS Journal on Computing.

He is serving as an associate editor for Information Systems Research (ISR) and Information Systems Journal. In 2021, he was awarded the ISR Associate Editor of the Year Award 2020. He also received the Best Associate Editor Award in ICIS 2020.

Since 2018, he has been the major leader of Information Management (IFMG), a major with over 600 undergraduate students, and the most popular second major in the College of Business.
