Davide Castelletti

Davide Castelletti (Member, IEEE) received the Laurea (B.S.) and Laurea Specialistica (M.S.) degrees in telecommunication engineering and the Ph.D. degree in information and communication technologies from the University of Trento, Trento, Italy, in 2009, 2012, and 2017, respectively. He was part of the team with the University of Trento, where he was involved in the design of the Radar for Icy Moon Exploration instrument for the Jupiter Icy Moons Explorer Mission of the European Space Agency (ESA). In 2014, he joined the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, CA, USA, as a Visiting Ph.D. Student, where he worked on clutter discrimination using an interferometric two-channel very high-frequency radar sounder. As Post-Doctoral Scholar with Stanford University, California, CA, USA, he worked with Prof. D. Schroeder on radar sounder interferometry and radar system engineering. In 2019, he joined Capella Space, San Francisco, CA, USA, where he is currently leading the SAR Application Group in the Platform Engineering Department. His research interests include remote sensing, signal processing, machine learning, and radar instruments design.
