I'm an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Co-Director of the BWH Human Immunology Center, and Scientific Co-Director of the BWH Single Cell Genomics Core. Our research focuses on understanding the pathologic functions of T cells in autoimmune diseases such as lupus and rheumatoid arthritis using high-dimensional methods (CyTOF, RNA-seq). Our recent work published in Nature described a ‘peripheral helper’ T cell population expanded in the joints of patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Our overall goal is to define the pathologic functions of T cells in different autoimmune diseases and to develop methods to disrupt their function.
