Dekang Chen received the bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the Hefei University of Technology, Hefei, China, in 2016, and the master's degree in optical engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei, China, in 2019. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree with Prof. Joe Campbell's Group, ECE Department. His research interests include photonic device simulation and testing, especially high-performance avalanche photodetectors.
