Bio
Research areas: Environmental Chemistry and Toxicology; Analytical Chemistry. Our research group studies abiotic and biological factors influencing the biological availability (and toxicity) of metals in aquatic waters and sediments. To accurately predict the onset of chronic effects in organisms, a much better understanding of the factors controlling metabolically available metal concentration both in the environment (extracellular) and within the organisms’ cells (intracellular) is necessary.
