Dr. Dinesh Nagegowda leads “Molecular Plant Biology and Biotechnology” group at the CSIR-Central Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants Research Centre, Bangalore, India. His group explores metabolic pathway steps and regulators of plant specialized metabolism in different medicinal and aromatic plants of importance through genomic, metabolomic and biochemical approaches. In addition, his group has been involved in enhancing the production of commercially and medicinally important specialized metabolites through metabolic engineering / synthetic biology strategies.
