I am an ecologist and PhD student currently based at the Australian National University (ANU). I joined the Conservation and Landscape Ecology Group of Prof. David Lindenmayer in late 2013 to pursue my PhD, which examines how biodiversity indicators can be applied in human-modified landscapes for ecosystem service providers (e.g. pollinators). My work compares the effectiveness of different vertebrate and landscape surrogates for invertebrate diversity, and I am co-supervised by Philip Barton (ANU) and Saul Cunningham (CSIRO). Prior to this, I worked at the National Junior College in Singapore where I taught research skills, science and philosophy to high-school students after having graduated from the National Institute of Education, Nanyang Technological University. Additionally, I taught math and science at the elementary level at Lewin Education Ltd for over five years.
