Yan Dong(东艳)

Dong Yan received the B.S. degree in geographic information systems from Sichuan Normal University, Chengdu, China, in 2006, the M.S. degree in geography from the Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chengdu, China, in 2009, and the Ph.D. degree in geography from the University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK, USA, in 2014. He is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Geospatial Sciences Center of Excellence, South Dakota State University, Brookings, SD, USA. His research focuses on investigating the long-term changes in rainforest phenology using observations acquired by geostationary satellites. Mr. Yan is a member of the American Geophysical Union and a recipient of the Graduate Research Award from the University of Oklahoma in 2013.
