Bio

Since 2018 he has divided his time between clinical practice and MRC CTU, developing trials across a range of different cancers. He is particularly interested in repurposed medicines and opportunities to optimise current treatments to maximise their potential global impact. He is chief investigator for the REFINE trial testing extended interval immune checkpoint inhibitors.
He is translational lead for the UK anal cancer platform trial (PLATO) and co-leads the International Rare Cancers Initiative Anal Cancer translational group. He is on the editorial board of Clinical Oncology.
