Bio
E. F. Jaeger received the Ph.D. degree in Nuclear Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, in 1970.
He was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the National Center for Atmospheric Research, Boulder, CO, from 1971 to 1972 and with the Joint Institute for Laboratory Astrophysics, Boulder, from 1973 to 1974. He was a Research Scientist with Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), Oak Ridge, TN, from 1974 to 2009. He is currently a Research Scientist with Xcel Engineering, Oak Ridge, and is working under subcontract with the Fusion Energy Division, ORNL. His research has covered a broad range of topics in plasma theory and computation with applications to fusion plasmas, plasma processing of materials, gas lasers, and space plasmas.
