Edem Wornyo

Edem Wornyo (S'02–M'09) is from Glikpome-Akatsi, Ghana. He received the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, in 2008, the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte, and the Bachelors in electrical and electronic engineering with honors from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana. He is currently with the Semiconductor Research and Development Center of the Systems and Technology Group of IBM Microelectronics, Hopewell Junction, New York where his work focuses on the development of subnanometer structures for nanoelectroelectrics. His research interests include designed experiments for semiconductor manufacturing, neural networks, smart material structures for applications in microelectronics, nanotechnology and biomedical engineering. Dr. Wornyo has published and presented his research findings in many journals in nanotechnology, semiconductors, telecommunications, and developing economies. He is a reviewer for many journals in the field. He is a member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE); the Optical Society of America (OSA); and Eta Kappa Nu, and the Electrical Engineering Honor Society.
