Edward H. Ip

Edward H. Ip received the B.S. degree in mathematics from The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong, and the M.A. degree in education and the Ph.D. degree in statistics from Stanford University, Stanford, CA, USA. He is currently a Professor in biostatistical sciences, with a joint appointment with the Department of Social Sciences and Health Policy, Wake Forest School of Medicine, Winston-Salem, NC, USA. He was the Principal Investigator for numerous federal grant awards from NIH, NSF, and the U.S. Department of Education. He is currently the directing a project in computational modeling and another project for methods in studying covariation of measures in longitudinal studies. He has authored over 150 journal articles and nine book chapters. His current research interests include latent variable modeling, psychometrics, hidden Markov models, multivariate longitudinal computational models, and application areas include social and behavioral sciences, health sciences especially aging, and obesity.
