Everett Gibson

Everett Gibson is a Senior Scientist working on the nature of volatiles in extraterrestrial and terrestrial materials. As a co-leader of the Mars Meteorite Research Team, he was responsible for the hypothesis that Mars may have had biogenic activity early in its history (around 3.9 Ga). The work on the ALH84001 meteorite has turned around the exploration goals of the space faring nations. He is actively working on understanding volatiles present at the lunar poles and organic matter of Mars.
