Emanuele Uccelli

Emanuele Uccelli received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in materials science from the University of Milano-Bicocca, Milan, Italy, in 2004, and the Ph.D. degree in physics from the Technical University of Munich, Munich, Germany, specializing on the synthesis and characterization of InAs nanostructures arrays by molecular beam epitaxy, in 2008. In 2009, he joined the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Lausanne, Switzerland, as a Post-Doctoral Research Associate, working on GaAs nanowires heterostructures for solar cell applications. He joined IBM Research—Zurich, Zurich, Switzerland, in 2011, where he is currently working on the development of new materials and processes for the technology integration of III–V devices on silicon CMOS platform for both electronics and photonics applications.
