Bio
Eric T. Eisenbraun received the B.S. degree in physics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and the Ph.D. degree in physics from the University at Albany-SUNY. He is currently an Associate Professor with SUNY Polytechnic Institute. His research focuses in several primary areas. One is new materials and processes for use in advanced electronics and renewable energy applications, including fuel cells, batteries, and supercapacitors. This includes vapor-phase processing such as CVD and ALD, plasma processing, and solution-based material processing. The range of materials includes simple and complex oxides and other dielectrics, metals, nanocomposites, and nanostructures such as nanowires and nanotubes. His group is also involved in nanomanufacturing and nanoinformatics research, including yield, defect mitigation, and factory optimization. He was a Chief Scientist with Tokyo Electron Massachusetts, and a Process Engineer with Lam Research. He has over twenty five years’ experience in nanomaterials processing and integration, over 75 publications, and two patents issued.
