RESEARCH INTERESTS & PROJECTS
My research interests include global consumer culture, multicultural marketing and consumption, consumer health and well-being, consumer privacy, visual consumption, food consumption, and digital marketing and consumption, rural health promotion, urban and rural markets, family consumption and identity, and not-for-profit marketing. In the past years, I have been exploring different approaches to integrate my research projects into my teaching portfolio. I developed several partnership projects with several community organizations who had participated in the Healthy Living project, a community-based experiential learning project that I developed for my marketing students. I believe that this is the most effective way for academic scholars to develop their scholarly contributions to the university and the academic community. During my time at UBCO, I have consistently worked on four main research programs:
Community Building and Health Promotion
Digital Economy, Data Management, and Consuming Technologies
Design, Fashion, and Consumer Culture
Critical Consumer Culture
