Bio
My focus of interest is on soft bioinspired nanostructured biomaterials derived from natural polymers (e.g., hydrogels and nanoparticles). Understanding the processes governing their interactions at varying scales is a prerequisite for elucidating their biological functions. At the same time, the fascinating process of self-assembly inherent in these structures, can be used as a blueprint for the rational design of novel materials for food and health.
