Prof. Dr. Graham Pawelec, MA, PhD (Cantab) is Professor of Experimental Immunology at the Interfaculty Institute for Cell Biology, Eberhard Karls University Tübingen, Tübingen, Germany. Ever since BASE-II was initiated, he was responsible for the immunological analyses and served as a member of the Steering Committee throughout. His research interests focused on the impact of human ageing on immunity, especially anti-cancer immunity and vaccination. For the latter, he retains after his retirement an affiliation with the Health Sciences North Research Institute, Sudbury, ON, Canada.
