Giuseppe Prestopino

My research activities are focused on growth and characterization of synthetic single crystal diamond (intrinsic and boron-doped), and development of diamond based devices: - Diamond detectors for application in hadrontherapy dosimetry - Design and development of novel diamond in-vivo dosimeters - Photoluminescence studies of color centers in single crystal diamond - Development of diamond based UV position sensitive detectors. - Production of diamond dosimeters currently commercialized by PTW-Freiburg (microDiamond T60019). Recently, my reasearch interests were also addressed to nanoscale materials like GaAs nanowires, carbon nanotube fibers, layered double hydroxides.
