Geoffrey R Mitchell

My research is focused on developing a molecular understanding of polymers and their processing. A particular focus is the use of time-resolved x-ray and neutron scattering coupled with computational molecular modelling and electron microscopy. I am fascinated by the exciting opportunities offered by Direct Digital Manufacturing with Polymers, Ceramics and Metals. We are actively involved in developing new technology, novel materials and quantitative characterisation procedures for understand the relationships between processing, structure and properties. CDRSP has been evaluated by FCT to be excellent and is an open international centre which welcomes collaboration and interactions with other research centres.
