Gianlorenzo Masini

Gianlorenzo Masini received the M.Sc. degree in electronic engineering from the University of Rome ”La Sapienza,” Roma, Italy, in 1991, where he also received the Ph.D. degree on the design and characterization of amorphous silicon electronic devices. He has been a Senior Research Associate (tenured position) with the Department of Electronic Engineering, Roma Tre University, Rome, Italy, where he has been the main contributor to the development of highly efficient Ge-on-Si photodetectors for the near-infrared. In 2004, he joined Luxtera, Inc., Carlsbad, CA, USA, where he is currently the Director of Technology.
