Gregory P Lekovic

Gregory P Lekovic is currently Clinician-Scientist at the House Ear Institute (HEI), where he is the Director of Neurosurgery Research. Dr. Lekovic completed his doctoral thesis in auditory physiology of the efferent synapse in hair cells of the turtle basilar papilla, using whole cell patch clamp recording, in the Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology at the University of Illinois. His current research at HEI centers on neurofibromatosis type 2, with current projects including longitudinal analysis of NF2 natural history, genotype-phenotype correlation, outcomes following surgical interventions and auditory brainstem implantation, and the role of novel therapies in the treatment of NF2.
