Thomas Hantschel

Thomas Hantschel received the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from Dresden University of Technology, Dresden, Germany, in 1995, and the Ph.D. degree in science from the University of Leuven, Leuven, Belgium, in 2000. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Palo Alto Research Center (PARC), Palo Alto, CA, in 2001, where he worked on interconnects. He joined PARC as member of the research staff from 2002 to 2004 working on stressed-metal technology, MEMS, AFM, plating, and sputtering. He is Manager of the Materials Characterization Group at IMEC, Leuven, Belgium. His current interests are in materials characterization, nanoprobing, diamond probe technology, and nanostructures.
