Helen Rees

I am a lecturer in plant pathology at Lincoln University, interested in the epidemiology and control of plant pathogens using biocontrol agents. Recent projects have focused on opportunities for microbial biocontrol in Scotland and it’s use in spring barley. My PhD was on the use of endophytic Trichoderma to control Armillaria mellea and involved some work to identify putative pathogenicity genes of A. mellea. I work with pathogens affecting plants in all sectors, but mainly on soil pathogens.
