Bio
I am a plant quantitative geneticist with strong statistical genomic and bioinformatics knowledge. I have extensive experience in a broad range of applied science research. My skills range from the use of traditional breeding techniques, to more computationally intensive approaches including the integration of multi-omics data sets to unravel the genetic control of complex plant quantitative traits. I have been designing, conducting and analyzing large scale phenotyping and genotyping experiments with plants. I have fine mapped genes, performed genomic and expression QTL analysis, and analyzed transcriptomic regulatory networks of complex traits in forest and horticultural tree species. I am now integrating long-read genome sequencing, gene expression and metabolite profiling to understand the genetic control of metabolic pathways in the European black poplar.
