Holger Reinecke was born in 1964 in Bad Harzburg. He received the degree in chemistry from the Technical University of Clausthal–Zellerfeld, Germany, and the Ph.D. degree in electrochemical analytics in 1990. From 1988 to 1990, he was a Scientific Assistant at the Institute for Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry. From 2004 to 2014, he was a Professor and the Head of the Chair of Process Technology in the Department of Microsystems Engineering, University of Freiburg, Germany. From 2005 to 2014, he was a Speaker of the Board of Directors at HSG-IMIT, Villingen-Schwenningen. He is currently the CEO of SCHÖLLY Fiberoptic GmbH. His research interests include the fabrication of micro-structured components and tools, lithography, products, and cleaning and the surface coating of polymeric components.
