Dr. Hongliang Zhang got his M.D. degree from Jilin University, China, in 2005 and Ph.D. degree from Karolinska Institute, Sweden, in 2012. From 2012 to 2013, Dr. Zhang worked as a post-doc in Department of Neurobiology, Care Sciences and Society, Karolinska Institute. From 2013 to 2016, he worked as a neurologist and associate professor at Department of Neurology, First Hospital, Jilin University, Changchun, China. From 2016, he worked as the Program Director in Neuroscience and Psychology, at the National Natural Science Foundation of China, Beijing, China. Dr. Zhang’s research focuses on neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration. Dr. Zhang is currently member of international scientific societies such as the American Academy of Neurology, the International Society of Infectious Diseases, the International Society for Neurochemistry and the Southern Medical Association. Dr. Zhang won his award Top-grade Reviewer for Annals of Internal Medicine in 2010.
