Hong Yue

I earned my MD from China Medical University in China, where I received training in both basic and clinical science. I practiced as a physician in Internal Medicine for 5 years. I earned my Ph.D from University of Fukui School of Medical Sciences in Japan, where I received further training primarily in biochemistry and cardiology. I started my postdoctoral training from 2005 in Dr. Karnik-laboratory in the Department of Molecular Cardiology, Cleveland Clinic. In 2010, I was promoted to Research Associate because of my research achievement in understanding the mechanisms related to cardiac hypertrophy and heart failure. As a Principal Investigator, my study was supported by the American Heart Association Postdoctoral Fellowship grant. I moved to Case Western Reserve University in 2011 as a Senior Research Associate to study HIV and cancer immunity with the goal of using my knowledge in GPCR as well as in signaling transduction. In 2017, I moved to my long term collaborator - Dr. Li’s laboratory in Marshall University as a Research Assistant Professor, to deepen our long-term collaborated project – effect of thymidine phosphorylase in cardiovascular system.
