Hubert Perrot

Hubert Perrot was born in Bourges, France, in 1963. He received an Engineer degree in chemistry from the University of Lyon, Lyon, France, in 1986 and the Ph.D. degree in microelectronics from the Ecole Centrale de Lyon in 1990. He was involved in the development of chemical sensors based on chemically modified ISFETs. After being a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Centre d'Etudes Nucléaires de Saclay, France, with A. Barraud, he became Chargé de Recherche du French National Scientific Research Center (CNRS) in electrochemistry, University Pierre and Marie Curie, Paris 6, Paris, France, where his special interest was instrumental development based on acoustic sensors and applications in electrochemical problems, such as corrosion or electroplating. In recent years, his interests have been in conducting polymers, ion-sensitive electrodes, and biological sensors using quartz–crystal microbalance. Dr. Perrot is a member of the Electrochemical Society of the United States of America.
