Bio

Ivan Kassamakov received the M.Sc. degree in optics and spectroscopy from the University of Sofia, Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1982 and the Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Precision Mechanics and Optics, St. Petersburg, Russia. He led the Sensors and Electronics Devices Section, Institute of Applied Physics, Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. He is currently a Senior Research Scientist with the Department of Physics and Helsinki Institute of Physics, University of Helsinki, Helsinki, Finland. He has coauthored more than 40 peer-reviewed journal articles. His principal research interests are within optics and photonics.
