My reputation as Europe’s leading academic in the research of surfaces and interfaces of conducting oxides is well recognised in Ireland as well as abroad. I am widely acknowledged as Ireland’s most successful scientist, holding the record as the highest funded recipient of Science research funding in the country.
My commercialisation experience is prolific I am a named inventor on more than 50 patents and patent applications. My research has sparked three successful spin-out companies including Cellix, Miravex and Deerac Fluidics which have been acknowledged with numerous awards.
