Ignac Bugar

Ignác Bugár received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in physics from Comenius University, Bratislava, Slovakia, in 1996 and 2003, respectively. During the academic career, he was the Head of Femtosecond Spectroscopy Laboratory, International Laser Centre Bratislava, and afterwards was a Postdoctoral Fellow with TU Wien, Vienna, Austria. During years 2017–2019, he was affiliated with the Institute of Electronic Materials Technology, Warsaw, Poland, as a Fellow of Maria Curie COFUND project. His recent affiliations are International Laser Centre Bratislava and Łukasiewicz Research Network - Institute of Microelectronics and Photonics, Warsaw, Poland. He has coauthored more than 60 publications in peer-reviewed journals. His research interests include ultrafast photonics, nonlinear fiber optics, femtosecond spectroscopy, and development of fiber lasers.
