Welcome to my academic profile! I am Dr. Imran Shafique, a dedicated researcher and educator with a PhD in HRM from the University of Malaya. This institution's Double Crown accreditation and consistent position among the top 100 QS-ranked universities highlight its commitment to excellence – a standard that I proudly uphold in my academic journey.
My research contributions have garnered recognition in prominent journals, including the Journal of Business Ethics (FT 50, ABS 3, ABDC A), International Journal of Human Resource Management (ABS 3, ABDC A), International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management (ABS 3, ABDC A), Business Process Management Journal (ABS 2, ABDC B), and Technology Analysis and Strategic Management (ABS 2, ABDC B). I've also made substantial contributions to literature through multiple book chapters published by Springer.
Diverse experiences define my career, including successful collaborations on funded projects supported by prestigious institutions such as the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan, United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP), UNDP, and HEKS/EPER Germany. At present, my focus is on the 'Adoption of Blockchain-driven Supply Chain in Pakistan's Oil and Gas Sector,' a project funded by the Higher Education Commission of Pakistan under the National Research Program for Universities (NRPU).
As an Associate Editor for the 'Career Development International' Journal and a member of the editorial board for the 'Arab Gulf Journal of Scientific Research,' I engage deeply with the scholarly community. My commitment extends to conducting workshops and training sessions, where I impart valuable knowledge about various research-related activities, including data analysis techniques such as Structural Equatiion Modeling (SEM) using tools like AMOS, SmartPLS, and WarpPLS, encompassing everything from basic regression to hierarchical techniques on SPSS. These workshops bridge the gap between industry and research, fostering practical insights.
I am also an Associate Fellow at the Centre for Asian Climate and Environmental Policy Studies in Canada and a member of ISO Pakistan in ISO/TC 232 Education and Learning Services, further demonstrating my interdisciplinary engagement.
In response to the evolving industry landscape, I recently upskilled myself in Business Analytics and acquired proficiency in Python. This enables me to teach these essential skills to students pursuing Bachelor in Business and Data Analytics, ensuring they remain at the forefront of industry demands.
My role as an educator is enriched by my mentorship of 18 successful MS in Management Sciences graduates and my current guidance of 4 PhD scholars and three Master's students. As an external examiner, I contribute to the academic excellence of institutions both locally and internationally. Notable names in my portfolio include FAST School of Management, NUCES Lahore Campus, University of the Punjab's Institute of Administrative Sciences, University of Engineering and Technology Lahore, Bahria University Lahore Campus, Government College University Faisalabad, Riphah International University Faisalabad, University of Karachi, Muhammad Ali Jinnah University Karachi, and National College of Business Administration and Economics Lahore. My reach extends globally, with roles at universities such as University Malaysia Sarawak, Xiamen University Malaysia Campus, and Taylor's University Malaysia.
Within the Department of Management Sciences at CUI Lahore Campus, I am actively engaged in various capacities, from overseeing the Management area and contribute my insights to committees like the Departmental Academic Review Committee and Campus Academic Regulatory Committee. I also serve as the Secretary of the Rebuttal Committee, playing a crucial role in ensuring the quality of PhD research.
