Ingrid Mann

Ingrid Mann was born in Germany in 1961. She received the Diploma and Ph.D. degrees in physics from Ruhr University Bochum, Bochum, Germany, in 1987 and 1990, respectively, and the Habilitation degree from Braunschweig Technical University, Braunschweig, Germany, in 1997. From 1991 to 2000, she was a Senior Researcher with the Max Planck Institute for Aeronomy, Katlenburg-Lindau, Germany. She held appointments with Mïnster University, Mïnster, Germany, Kobe University, Kobe, Japan, the Belgium Institute of Space Aeronomy, Uccle, Belgium, the EISCAT Scientific Association, Kiruna, Sweden, the Earth and Planetary Sciences Division, Caltech, Pasadena, CA, USA, the Space Science Department of the European Space Agency, Noordwijk, The Netherlands, and Umeå University, Umeå, Sweden. She is currently a Professor and the Head of the Space Physics Group, The Arctic University of Norway, Tromsø, Norway. Her current research interests include the physics of cosmic dust in different regions of the solar system and beyond.
