Iván Prieto

Ivan Prieto is a scientist with experience in the fields of Material science, Photonics and Nanofabrication. He has completed research projects on diverse scientific topics, both in the Academia and Industry, with focus on electronics, photonics and semiconductor technology. Ivan has acquired a broad expertise with nanofabrication technologies, such as, electron beam lithography, dry and wet etching and epitaxial growth. His goal oriented investigations taught him not only to fabricate devices but to model/design them by means of finite elements methods (Comsol, Lumerical among others). Broad experience has been acquired by him in characterization and analysis, from the fundamental research of grain boundary formation in nanoheteroepitaxy to the standard parameters of state of the art laser or X ray sources. In his period as staff scientist nanofabrication he became expert in state of the art e-beam lithography as well as to coordinate his role in a multi project environment. Lately, in his current position as Deputy of the CTO in G-ray Switzerland, he has had responsibility of Operations in technological activities of the company. Ivan customarily writes and presents technical reports, such as scientific publications or internal reports, but also non-technical reports for non-technical meetings of the management. In 2022 he has enrolled an EMBA program.
