Jonathan Stephen Friedman

I am Director of the Puerto Rico Photonics Institute at the Universidad Ana G. Mendez, Cupey campus. PRPI is the only Center for research, education and training in photonics in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. We currently offer an AAS Degree in Engineering Technology, short courses, including ETA-I FOI certification, and conduct research and development projects in remote sensing, space sensors, and modeling of exotic materials. I continue my research in the middle-upper atmosphere and near-space environment using resonance lidar at the Arecibo Observatory, where I worked for 26 years.
