Bio
Jae Ha Ryu was born in Seoul, South Korea, in 1987. He received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering and the M.S. degree in materials science and engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Champaign, IL, USA, in 2009 and 2011, respectively. He is currently working toward the Ph.D. degree with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Wisconsin–Madison, Madison, WI, USA.
From 2011 to 2015, he joined OCI Company, Ltd., Seoul, South Korea, where he performed research on silicon photovoltaics. His research is focused on phase-locked quantum cascade laser (QCL) arrays and grating-coupled surface-emitting QCLs.
