Joan Pons-Nin received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electronic engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Barcelona, Spain, in 1985 and 1995, respectively. He is an Associate Professor with the Department of Electronic Engineering at the Telecommunications Engineering School of Barcelona, Spain. He is currently working on oscillators for MEMS resonators. He worked also on emitter characterization and optimization for advanced bipolar devices and polysilicon contacted silicon solar cells. Other research topics of his interest are semiconductor devices simulation and digital control circuitry.
