Jörg Weggen received the Dipl.-Ing. degree in environmental and mechanics engineering from the University of Applied Sciences, Berlin, Germany, in 1988. He has been with the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, Karlsruhe, Germany, since 2001, where he has been actively involved in the planning, design, and construction of high-power microwave sources (gyrotrons) for fusion applications since 2007.
