Dr. Weichert's research interests focus on the design and development of molecular contrast and imaging agents for a wide range of applications in diagnostic imaging as well as in the development of radiopharmaceuticals for therapeutic use in oncology. Dr. Weichert is an author on more than 40 peer reviewed publications, a co-inventor on more than 20 issued and pending patents, and a co-investigator or printicpal investigator on several NIH and corporate grants. Dr. Weichert recently won the Elliot Lasser Award for the best presentation at the 2003 International Contrast Media Research Meeting and has served as a reviewer for peer reviewed journals including Molecular Imaging, Radiology, Academic Radiology, the Journal of Medicinal Chemistry, the Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Investigative Radiology, Cancer Research and the International Journal of Cancer Research as well as many NIH Study Sections.
