Bio
James G. Storey (Member, IEEE) was born in Hamilton, New Zealand, in 1979. He received the B.S. degree in physics and mathematics and the B.Sc. (Hons.) and Ph.D. degrees in physics from the Victoria University of Wellington, Wellington, New Zealand, in 2003, 2004, and 2007, respectively. From 2008 to 2011, he was a Research Associate with the Cavendish Laboratory, University of Cambridge, Cambridge, U.K. In 2011, he joined the Superconductivity Group currently known as the Robinson Research Institute, Victoria University of Wellington, where he is currently a Senior Scientist. He is also a Principal Investigator with the MacDiarmid Institute for Advanced Materials and Nanotechnology, Wellington. His research interests include the electronic properties of high-temperature superconductors, superconducting levitation bearings, and electromagnetic finite-element modelling of superconducting machines. He is a member of the Institute of Physics, U.K., and the American Physical Society, USA.
