James Clugston

My current research project is based around the very diverse pea-flowered legume flora in Australia. This project aims utilise next-generation sequencing (NGS) to understand generic relationships and species boundaries in the Pultenaea generic alliance (Fabaceae tribe Mirbelieae; poison peas and their relatives). Using NGS, sampling key species will help to resolve tribal, generic and species limits and relationships in the Pultenaea alliance with a key aim of minimising nomenclatorial changes.
