Main research interests: • Hydrology and Biogeochemistry of the Critical Zone • Large river Basins and small cathments • Biogeochemistry of the carbon cycle • Heavy metal transfer dynamic in soils and river systems, and interactions with biological organisms • Pesticide and nutrient transfer dynamic in small catchments and in in large river basins Jean-Luc PROBST has a good expertise on hydrology and biogeochemistry of the Critical Zone, from small catchments to large river basins and he already worked on river systems all around the world with scientists of different countries: Congo and Ubangui, Niger, Nyong in South Cameroun, Senegal, Niger and its tributaries, Milo in Guinea, Haho and Zio in Togo, Oued Sebou in Morocco, Nahr Ibrahim in Lebanon, Amazon and its tributaries, Parana and Uruguay, Patagonian rivers, Indian rivers, Chinese rivers, Black River and Grand River North West in Mauritius, Piracicaba and Tiete in Brazil, Garonne, Mosel, Rhone, Tet and Ill in France.
