In addition to my work as a Research Assistant Professor of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Toledo, I am also the founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Oceanside Bioscience, LLC., located in West Haven, CT, USA. My organization works as a CRO for pharma, biotech and academic drug discovery and development projects. We primarily work with the University of Toledo Instrumentation Center and the University of Michigan Life Sciences Institutes to conduct cutting edge structural analysis, SBDD and biophysics/ analytical chemistry to identify, characterize and deliver NCEs and NBEs to our clients. Organizational Highlights: · Successfully completed gene to structure projects for multiple clients. Conducted and/or supervised biophysical and biochemical assays to confirm ligand or PPI interaction with drug targets. Used computational biology to identify novel targets, confirm MOA. · Generated high resolution, ligand-bound structures for multiple clients and assisted in the subsequent cycles of structure-guided drug design. Our scientists can work remotely, in-house and/or at the client site depending on the clients needs. · Crystallized and structurally characterized (X-ray, PXRD, DSC, IR) dozens of small molecule compounds for the development project of a NYSE listed pharma client. Cross-validated drug polymorphs and co-authored a patent on a NCE that recently advanced to Phase III clinical trials.
