Bio
My research examines how multiple dimensions of climate change, including warming, climate variability, and extreme weather influence ecological processes across diverse species and spatiotemporal scales, with a focus on species’ distributions in space and time and wildlife disease. To accomplish these goals, I fuse large ecological datasets with high-resolution remote sensing data and diverse quantitative approaches, including spatial modeling, GIS techniques, machine learning, and research synthesis. The result is the development of trait-based frameworks that explain responses to climate change (including neglected aspects – extreme weather, weather variability) across large numbers of species.
