Jerzy Konstantynowicz

Dr Jerzy Konstantynowicz, MD, PhD, consultant pediatrician and Certified Clinical Densitometrist (ISCD) in University Children’s Hospital and associate professor in the Department of Pediatrics and Developmental Disorders of the Medical University of Bialystok, with a subspecialty focus on metabolic bone disease, nutrition in bone health and skeletal development, risk factors of osteoporosis and fragility in children and adolescents. His research and clinical activities also include bisphoshonate treatment in children with osteogenesis imperfecta and related disorders during growth, body composition, obesity, eating disorders, and late skeletal effects in childhood cancer survivors. During 2004 – 2006 he made postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Melbourne (Australia) where he studied with prof. Ego Seeman. In 2012, he made clinical training at Shriners Hospital for Children / McGill University in Montreal (Canada) and worked under supervision of prof. Francis H. Glorieux. He is author of 60 peer-reviewed scientific articles of which IF is over 80 (publications including Osteoporos Int, J Clin Endocrinol Metab, Ultrasound Med Biol, Ann Nutr Metab, J Clin Densitom, Pediatr Nephrol, J Bone Miner Metab).
