Dr. Zhang’s research interests lie in the design and synthesis of nanoporous materials such as MOFs and COFs with interesting structural, chemical, and optoelectronic profiles. Current research goals are focused on new 2D and 3D porous hybrid materials for their electrocatalytic and photoelectric catalytic applications in energy conversion. These projects will use organic synthesis to construct novel building blocks to build architectures with tailored structural, electronic, and dynamic features that modulate the kinetic aspects of the energy-related reactions.
