Xiang Jiaqing, MD, professor, chief physician, and supervisor of master’s candidates, was born in 1963. He is the current chief of the Department of Thoracic Surgery, Cancer Hospital of Fudan University. He has long been engaged in the surgical and multidisciplinary treatment of chest tumors including lung cancer, esophageal cancer, and mediastinal tumors. He is one of the pioneers of three-field lymph node dissection for esophageal cancer in China and has offered treatment for nearly 1,000 cases. He is skilled in thoracoscopic Ivor-Lewis esophagectomy for esophageal cancer, thoracoscopic radical resection of lung cancer, and thoracoscopic resection of mediastinal tumors. He is a well-known expert in the surgical treatment of thoracic tumors. In recent years he has published over 20 articles in peer-reviewed journals as the first author or corresponding author.
